Job Summary

The successful incumbent will provide IT support at our Cambridge manufacturing facility at 560 Conestoga Blvd., Cambridge, Ontario.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier I support and perform basic troubleshooting for the office and plant-computing environment. (such as but not limited to servers, personal computers, printers, various IT devices, telephony/VOIP, and software)
  • Determine the cause of user hardware problems or software problems in s/w such as MS Office Suite and other windows based applications. Investigate and resolve operating systems, printing and database issues.
  • Escalate when required and work with Corporate I.S. Tier II support to resolve problems on servers, desktops, telephony, database and networks.
  • Coordinate vender support for software and hardware problems with Tier II.
  • Perform and monitor network backup procedures in accordance to corporate standards.
  • Establish network users by setting up new user mailbox accounts, defining parameters, access and environment for users, directories and security for networks being installed per Corporate I.S. standards.
  • Configure network printing, network shares, permissions, security and software on file servers.
  • After hours support based on plant operating hours and needs.
  • Train users on-site on software and hardware products used in performance of their jobs.
  • Perform any other IT related duties that may be specifically or generally assigned.



  • Minimum three-year college diploma in computer science or related discipline or equivalent.
  • Hands on experience with Desktop hardware / Windows / Microsoft Office / Microsoft Exchange and Windows servers.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Travel may be required between AGS locations in Michigan and Ontario.
